Technical Sales Specialist – Quotations
Overview
Our client in Waterloo, is looking for a Technical Sales Quotations Specialist to join their team in a Full-time permanent role!
The Technical Sales Quote Specialist will receive RFQ packages, supporting CAD documentation and project specifications from current and prospective customers. They will conduct reviews with internal and external stakeholders to confirm project scope. They will develop and deliver detailed quotation packages with pricing and timelines to suit customer needs.

Position Duties:
- Analyze CAD drawings and project specs to define clear, executable project scopes.
- Collaborate with internal partners to clarify project scope and develop detailed quotation packages with clear timelines and technical feasibility.
- Create and deliver “Concept-to-Contract” presentations that show customers exactly how we’ll deliver on their requests and solve their challenges.
- Utilize the ERP and PLM systems and file documentation securely.
- Ability to serve as the internal face of the company for key accounts and develop positive relationships with customers.
Required Skills:
- University Degree or College Diploma in Engineering or related area of study.
- Proven exposure to tooling, automation, or heavy manufacturing environments.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles particularly in the areas of Tool & Die or Automation.
- Ability to navigate CAD software with ease to conceptualize mechanical solutions on the fly.
- Advanced Excel knowledge is a must (you treat spreadsheets like a specialized toolset).
- You enjoy the autonomy of managing multiple high-stakes quotes and can pivot priorities when a “hot” RFQ lands on your desk.
- You possess a superior command of technical English—able to explain complex mechanical concepts to both engineers and purchasing agents.
- Willingness to travel within North America (occasionally) to see projects and customers firsthand.
- The ability to step in for the Automotive Sales Lead and handle after-hours customer emergencies when they arise.
