Shipping/Receiving Staff – Elmira
Overview
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is looking for a Shipper/Receiver (Picking and Packing) in ELMIRA.
The qualified candidate must have their own reliable transportation and documented experience with the below noted responsibilities and requirements.
The candidate is looking for the right candidate to grow with the company.
Shift:
Afternoons: Monday – Friday: 3pm -11pm
OR
Nights: Sunday – Thursday 11AM-7AM
This is a FULL-TIME position and is not open to Students. We thank all those that apply, however, only those qualified for the role will be contacted.
Pay Rate: $22.81/hr (shift premium, 0.80 for aft. shift, 1.05 for night shift) + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare orders for customers (picking, packing, sorting)
- Detailed inventory tracking
- Effectively package parts of all shapes and sizes effectively to protect from potential damage
- Prepare custom packages from catalogue orders
- Material handling throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload freight from trucks
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year Experience with above noted responsibilities (specifically packing orders for shipment)
- Established work history (long-term employment with previous employers)
- High school graduate
- Proficiency with shipping software
- Own reliable transportation
- Good communication and math skills, ability to read tape measure
- Ability to work effectively independently
- CSA Safety Boots (must cover ankle)
- Ability to meet the physical demands (bending, twisting, standing, sitting, walking, lifting, pushing, working in a cool environment)
- Reliable, punctual and dependable
- Forklift license an asset
