Quality Cell Leader (Plastics) – Kitchener
Overview
On behalf of our client in Waterloo, we are currently recruiting a motivated and experienced Quality Cell Leader to support production, drive safety standards, and lead quality-focused operations within a fast-paced injection molding facility.

Shift: Full Time: Monday – Friday | Nights – 10:55pm – 7am
Pay Rate: $18.75/hr + $0.35 shift premium
Responsibilities

Support the Shift Leader and Quality Assurance Leader in daily production oversight

Participate in shift handovers and communicate quality updates between teams

Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using gauges, jigs, and Vernier calipers

Make quality-related decisions and escalate concerns as needed

Ensure operators complete in-process inspections and scrap reports accurately

Train, orient, and evaluate new, temporary, or transferred employees

Monitor compliance with ISO 9001 standards and company quality procedures

Support 6S initiatives and maintain organized, efficient work areas

Enforce all Occupational Health & Safety policies and promote a safety-first culture

Maintain production documentation including labels, stamps, receipts, and reporting sheets

Assist with equipment operation and relieve machine operators as required
Requirements

Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

Strong understanding of quality systems and inspection processes

Experience using measuring tools (gauges, calipers, jigs)

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English)

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (25 kg)

CSA-approved safety footwear
-
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
