Property Maintenance Coordinator
Overview
Our client in Kitchener is looking for a candidate with experience in commercial or residential property management to join their team as a Property Maintenance Coordinator!
This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive wage between $27.00-30.00 per hour!
If you have an eye for detail and are skilled with minor repairs and general property maintenance, this role is for you!
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in a residential and / or commercial property management, facilities maintenance role
- General Building Maintenance including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall and painting repairs.
- Ability to deal with contractors and schedule trades to complete major repairs
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work 8 hours per day (7:30am – 4:30) with occasional weekend work
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of general building maintenance duties as assigned (minor repairs, drywall, trim, paint, carpentry, adjustments, etc.)
- Contact contractors as needed to complete major repairs
- Obtain quotes when necessary.
- Outdoor property maintenance including snow removal
- Manage contracts with garbage companies
- Managing tenant Move in’s/out’s
- Weekly property and vacant unit inspections
- Follow-up inspections to ensure work is completed to company standards.
- Deal with after-hours emergencies, as needed.
