Responsibilities:

• Set-up and operation of injection moulding machines for production runs
• Safe removal, cleaning, tagging, and storage of molds and tooling
• Spray molds with protective coating and clear water lines during changeovers
• Prepare and install molds, tooling, and auxiliary equipment required for upcoming jobs
• Produce first-off parts for Quality Control approval before production begins
• Monitor production flow and communicate tooling/material changes with material handlers
• Utilize measuring tools including gauges and Vernier calipers to verify specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and production documentation
• Maintain safe work practices while operating machinery and overhead cranes
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of related Set-Up Technician or plastics manufacturing experience
• Experience with injection moulding machinery and tooling changeovers
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Proficient with measuring tools including Vernier calipers and gauges
• Overhead crane experience/training required
• Forklift certification considered an asset
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attendance record and dependable work ethic
• CSA Approved Footwear required
• Positive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset
