Precision Measurement Quality Inspector – Waterloo
Overview
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting experienced and detail-oriented candidates for an open vacancy as a Quality Control Inspector in Waterloo.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled quality professional who takes pride in precision, accuracy, and maintaining high manufacturing standards. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience using precision measuring equipment and interpreting technical drawings in a manufacturing environment.
Candidates without direct experience using precision measuring tools in a manufacturing setting will not be considered.

Pay Rate: $23.11/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly
Shift:
Days – Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:00am – 11:00am

Required Measuring Equipment Experience
Candidates must have hands-on experience using:
- Vernier calipers
- Micrometers
- Height gauges
- Angle gauges / protractors
All candidates will be required to complete a measurement assessment during the interview process. Applicants without this experience will not be considered.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections to verify product dimensions and tolerances
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet customer and engineering specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and quality documentation
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records
- Identify and report non-conforming materials and assist with investigations and corrective actions
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to maintain product quality standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality objectives
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Quality Control or Quality Inspection role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proven experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and angle gauges
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Assets
- Overhead crane experience
- Valid forklift license
Requirements
- CSA-approved safety footwear
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
