Payroll Specialist Needed!
Overview
Our client employer in Elmira is looking for an experienced payroll specialist with a PCP certification to join their team in a Full-time Permanent role!

Great hourly rate to start between $28.00-35.00/hour depending on experience!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for both salaried and hourly team members, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with legislation.
- Update the payroll system (ADP) with Team Member changes as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Review and reconcile timecards, overtime, and attendance records, ensuring accuracy and resolving any issues.
- Manage payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, garnishments, and pensions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure Team Member payroll records are accurate and up to date, including new hires, terminations, compensation adjustments, etc.
- Issue Records of Employment (ROEs) and respond to related inquiries from Service Canada as needed.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend changes to optimize payroll operations for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Be available to answer any team member questions related to payroll, HR policies, and other inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in payroll administration, with a preference for background in the manufacturing industry or a similar field.
- PCP Certification is required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Oracle and/or Kronos time keeping is an asset
- Solid experience and knowledge in Payroll Administration
- HR experience an asset
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
