Overview

Our client in Ayr is looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in a Contract to Permanent position! 

The chosen candidate will have experience leading a team of mechanics and set-up technicians.

As the chosen candidate you will fulfill a contract period of hours (approx. 3 months)and will be rewarded for great performance with a permanent hire after the contract is completed.

Hourly starting rate will be between $42.00/hour + Shift premiums for afternoon and night shift.

Shift timing: 2:00pm – 10:00pm (Monday – Friday) – but must be open to working any shift.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Licensed Trade (Millwright, MTBI, Tool & Die) and Completion of Grade 12 or GED
  • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience; preferably in manufacturing setting
  • Minimum of five (5) years maintenance licensed experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Practical knowledge of MIG, TIG and Arc welding
  • Knowledge of electrical programming principles for machine diagnosis (servo drives)
  • Familiar with principles of work orders and preventative maintenance
  • Theoretical knowledge of robotics and automation
  • Understanding of cold forming and bending of various metals
  • Ability to work outside of standard business hours and be flexible to work all 3 shift times and overtime when required
  • Diplomatic and professional demeanor
  • Keen problem solving skills and drive to perform to the best of your abilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance team for efficient operations and drive improvements
  • Handle team inquiries professionally
  • Enhance technical development through training
  • Monitor work order hours/costs and take corrective actions
  • Manage machine part inventory and vendor relations
  • Provide maintenance data for new programs
