Overview

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is looking to candidates for the Machine Operators to assist in the production of automotive components.  The company offers a clean environment, health & safety focused culture, paid lunch breaks, and opportunities to learn how to operate different machines within the facility.

The company is not accessible by bus. Your own reliable transportation is required.  Those with shared transportation can not be considered.  Students are ineligible for this role.

This is a Full-time position from Monday to Friday with Mandatory Overtime on Saturdays at times

Day shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm – $18.50/hr

Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm  $18.50+ $0.50 shift premium

* + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Operating various manual and automatic machines to manufacture automotive parts
  • Maneuver large parts for assembly
  • Use of simple mathematical calculations to ensure parts are being manufactured with production specifications
  • Work with basic hand tools and manual measuring equipment to complete tasks
  • Documentation and reporting
  • Meet required quotas

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and communicate in English
  • Ability to record data effectively
  • Attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Able to produce quality parts while keeping pace with the team
  • CSA Safety shoes and safety glasses are a must
  • Any other PPE will be supplied
