CNC Metal Brake Press Operator – Cambridge
Overview
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is looking for and experienced (3-5 years) CNC Brake/Turret Punch Press for Metal Fabrication in CAMBRIDGE.
This position is not open to students.

Shift:
Days: 7:30am – 4:30pm, Mon-Thurs. and 7:30am – 2:00pm Friday.
OR
Afternoons: Monday – Thursday: 4:30pm-3:00am (reliable transportation required due to no busses running at end of shift) Must be able to train on Day shift for minimum 2 weeks (7:30am – 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 2:00 pm Friday)
Pay rate: $23-$25/hr
This is a FULL-TIME position.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience with below noted responsibilities and machinery (must have Brake Press and Turret Punch experience)
- Experience with gauges, Vernier calipers and proficient with imperial and metric measurements
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Attention to detail and accuracy essential.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Very good ability read work orders and part numbers (alpha and numeric) in English
- Completion of High School or equivalent
- Reliable, punctual and dependable
- CSA Approved Footwear
Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery such as cab skirt press, small brake press, rollers, glass beading machines and laser to cut, bend, roll, ream, punch and drill or otherwise shape and form metal stock into product
- Check products for correct specifications using gauges and Vernier calipers
- Use of small hand tools
- Small Machine set ups
- Sort, pack, crate and package materials
- Clean work areas and equipment
- Communication of reporting errors and any unsafe working conditions to Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
