Lead Press Operator – Waterloo
Overview
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is looking for an experienced Press Operator in WATERLOO.
We’re looking for an experienced Primary Press Operator who’s mechanically inclined and enjoys working with precision. This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative, values quality, and thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Our client offers a stable, long-term opportunity with a respected local employer.

Pay Rate: $22.55/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!
Shift: Days Monday to Thursday: 7am-4:30, 7:00am -11:00am Fridays

Responsibilities:
- Set-up and safe operations of all press machinery in a safe, effective, and timely and safe manner
- Setting up machinery for production orders
- Install and adjust tools and dies for smooth production runs.
- Strong focus on productivity, quality checks, workmanship standards
- Address problems and find solutions to improve efficiencies
- Support continuous improvement in safety, efficiency and efficiency
- Producing first off/last off parts for Quality Control Approval
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Relevant experience with the above noted responsibilities
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to meet production targets safely and efficiently
- Ability to utilize and interpret precision inspection gauges and equipment
- Strong understanding of recognizing defects and processes for correction in machinery.
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Experience with Word, Excel
- Overhead crane experience
- Ability to follow priorities, achieve goals and coordinate activities.
- Strong attendance record and attention to detail are a must
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Experience in leadership roles an asset
- Reliable, self-motivated and eager to learn new processes.
