Reach Truck Operator (Walkie certified) – Kitchener
Overview
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting a Material handler with a valid reach narrow aisle truck forklift/walkie license to work in KITCHENER.
This is a FULL-TIME position requiring someone to start as soon as possible and will work until approximately the end of August.
Shift: Afternoons: 11:30 am – 8:00 pm
Pay Rate: $19/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!
Responsibilities:
- Loading/unloading of materials using a Forklift
- Pick and stage raw materials for production lines in a timely manner
- Ensure timely and appropriate flow of unused goods and finished products to their appropriate locations
- Record and track relevant data
- Pre-operation checks of Forklift
- Monitor inventory levels
- Maintain regular interaction with production scheduling staff
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid Forklift License (Narrow aisle reach truck and Walkie certified) – expired licenses are invalid and can not be considered
- Mandatory minimum 1 year working experience with Narrow aisle reach truck.
- Ability to stand for long periods, bending at knees to lift up to 50lbs
- Comfortable working in refrigerated, frozen and ambient temperatures
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with moving equipment
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
- CSA Approved Footwear – Rubber boot style
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) in English
- Reliable, punctual and dependable
