Finance Associate – Contract
Overview
Our client in Waterloo Region is looking for a Finance Associate, with responsibility for Accounts Receivable and Sales Commissions, to join their team in a one (1) year contract position!
As an experienced finance professional, your job is two-fold! With your experience, you are able to jump into this fast-paced environment and work with the Customer Service and Sales teams, to accurately calculate sales commissions and process accounts receivables!

Responsibilities:
- Process accounts receivables and incoming payments as per company policies.
- Create receivables aging report and analyze customer accounts.
- Investigate account discrepancies and resolve unauthorized deduction as per procedure.
- Assist with month end, quarter end and year end reporting and audits.
- Identify issues with billing, pricing, deductions or other customer service areas
- Contact customers via phone and email for collection of overdue balances.
- Ability to understand the monthly sales commission plans for sales reps.
- Accurately calculate quarterly payments, monthly commission payments, co-op payments and rebates, in an accurate and timely way
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies, reconcile accounts as required
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with finance/ sales teams and external customers.
- Identity reporting issues, reconcile variances and document to support decisions
- Special projects and other duties as required.
