Overview

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is looking for a great candidate to join their building facilities team.

The company is located in AYR – This is a contract position running from December 15th, 2025 – January 19, 2026.

Shift: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm, Monday-Friday

Pay Rate:  $21.41/hour +0.50 shift premium + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains outside company property (lawn care, snow removal, clearing entrances of ice/debris)
  • Perform general housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping and scrubbing
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the production facility including washrooms and lunchrooms
  • Painting, cleaning up spills, set/up tear down after  events, general repairs
  • Responsible for waste removal (garbage, recycling, scrap metal)
  • Carry out other daily and emergency building maintenance jobs/repairs as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum one(1) year cleaning/janitorial experience
  • Competent using small hand tools and equipment (riding lawnmower, snow blower)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in all types of weather and within the facility.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and good attendance record
  • Physically able to meet the demands of the work (bending, twisting, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 25 kg)
  • Completion of Grade 12 or GED is required
  • Effective verbal communication skills in English
  • CSA footwear required
