Fabricator / Welder
Overview
Our client in Cambridge is looking for a skilled Fabricator to join their team in a full-time permanent role!

As the Fabricator, you will be compensated at rate of $28.20 /hour, and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package!
Required Skills:
- Five (5) plus years of Hands-on welding experience using TIG, stick, and flux core techniques, with a strong focus on precision and quality
- Fabrication, repair and welding of parts for equipment in a manufacturing environment is a MUST
- CWB certifications are an Preferred
- Confident using fabrication tools like saws, grinders, and welders to create or repair metal components
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment—standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and performing repetitive tasks
- Solid understanding of workplace safety practices, including Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety protocols
- Detail-oriented when it comes to inspecting your own work and ensuring it meets required specs
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems (CMMS) is a definite plus
- Reliable and able to stay on top of multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Team player with good communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Comfortable following structured procedures and safety guidelines while staying adaptable when challenges come up
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle a wide range of fabrication tasks, from welding and cutting to assembling and fine-tuning metal parts used in our food manufacturing equipment
- Complete regular maintenance and repair work to keep our equipment running smoothly and efficiently
- Inspect fabricated items to ensure everything meets safety and operational standards before they go into use
- Pitch in with the maintenance team to troubleshoot issues and come up with practical solutions for fixes or improvements
- Maintain clear documentation of all fabrication work and support accurate record-keeping
- Keep your workspace safe, tidy, and organized—adhering to all health and safety rules
- Follow established protocols around Food Safety, Food Defense, and company procedures at all times
- Be ready to help out with special projects and jump in where needed to support the team
