On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting reliable and mechanically inclined Manufacturing Associates for full-time vacancies in Waterloo, ON.

This is an opportunity to build on your manufacturing experience while working alongside experienced operators and gaining exposure to machine set-ups, tooling, quality control, material handling, and production processes.

The ideal candidate is mechanically minded, dependable, safety-focused, and interested in developing their skills with the potential for long-term growth.

This is a FULL-TIME opportunity with the potential for long-term employment.

Hours of Work:

Weekly Rotation between Days/Afternoons

Monday – Friday,  7:00 AM – 3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00 PM, overtime available as required

Pay Rate: $22.00/hr  + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly

Responsibilities:

  • Support daily mill operations by preparing materials, tooling, and equipment for production.
  • Assist with machine set-ups, tooling changes, and production changeovers.
  • Help operators troubleshoot basic production issues and keep equipment running efficiently.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet quality and dimensional requirements.
  • Use gauges and measuring equipment to verify product specifications.
  • Complete deburring, finishing, and other secondary processing as required.
  • Handle, bundle, label, and package completed product in accordance with customer and production requirements.
  • Review work orders, production documentation, and packaging instructions to ensure jobs are completed correctly.
  • Assist with production testing and related equipment set-ups.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Identify and communicate quality, equipment, material, or safety concerns to the appropriate team member.
  • Take on additional production duties as required to support the team.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of machine set-up, machine operation, or industrial production experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and an eagerness to learn new equipment and processes.
  • Good attention to detail, particularly when working with product specifications and measurements.
  • Comfortable reading and following written work orders, instructions, and production documentation.
  • Dependable, hardworking, and motivated to build a long-term career in manufacturing.
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision while contributing positively to a production team.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Overhead crane or forklift experience is an asset.
  • Physically able to remain on your feet throughout the shift and perform regular bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive movements.
  • Able to safely lift and handle up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Willing and available to work overtime when production requirements dictate.
