Experienced Metal Production Associates – Waterloo
Overview
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting experienced Production Operators for full-time vacancies in WATERLOO, ON.
This opportunity is specifically for candidates with previous manufacturing or production experience. Candidates without relevant experience will not be considered.
Our client is an established metal fabrication facility looking for dependable, experienced production team members who are comfortable operating production equipment, inspecting finished parts, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a FULL-TIME opportunity with potential for long-term employment.
Hours of Work: Days, Afternoons or Nights (Preference to those with open availability or can work rotating shifts).
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $21.00/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each weekly cheque
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate assigned production equipment
- Load raw materials into machines and remove finished products
- Monitor production processes to ensure parts meet quality standards
- Inspect finished parts using gauges, fixtures, and measuring tools
- Deburr and perform light finishing work as required
- Accurately complete production counts and quality documentation
- Identify and report equipment or quality concerns to the appropriate team member
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow company safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is required
- Previous experience operating production machinery or equipment is strongly preferred
- Experience working in a metal fabrication or similar manufacturing environment is an asset
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand and follow production processes
- Experience using gauges, fixtures, and measuring tools is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts
- Good manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to read, write, and accurately complete production documentation
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining excellent attendance
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
- Physically capable of standing for the duration of the shift and performing frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive movements
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis
- Comfortable working overtime when required
