Overview

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is looking for experienced Shipper/Receivers to join their team in CAMBRIDGE.

We are looking for dependable, organized individuals with at least 1 year of shipping and receiving experience and a valid forklift license/certification (not in-house).  Selected candidates will be scheduled for a Drive test to assess suitability with the client.  Selected candidates must also be able to comply with GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices in the Canadian Food Industry).

These are CONTRACT positions with potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.

Students are not eligible for this position. Only candidates with relevant experience will be contacted.

Pay Rate: $24.00/hour + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!

Full-time Weekday Shifts:
Days: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Afternoons: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM
Nights: 11:30 PM – 7:30 AM

Part-time WEEKEND SHIFT:
Friday & Saturday: 11:30 PM – 11:30 AM
24 hours per week

Job Duties

  • Accurately measure and prepare large quantities of ingredients for cracker production
  • Operate industrial mixers, blenders, and related production equipment
  • Follow work orders, product specifications, recipes, and established production procedures
  • Monitor raw materials and ingredient levels and notify appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished
  • Inspect ingredients and finished mixes to ensure production requirements are being met
  • Assist with packing and other production duties as required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in food production, baking, industrial mixing, or a similar manufacturing environment
  • Strong basic math skills with the ability to accurately measure ingredients
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, product specifications, and product codes
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow established procedures
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Reliable and dependable with good attendance
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs.) repeatedly throughout the shift
  • Must have CSA-approved safety footwear
  • Must be available for day, afternoon, and/or night shifts
