Experienced Forklift Operator – Temporary
Overview
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is hiring an Experienced/Licenses Counter Balance Forklift operators to work in Elmira to start Sunday May 11, 2025 for approximately 2 weeks.
The selected candidate will have at least 2 years of experience operating a Counter Balance Forklift and the ability to work in narrow aisles and tight corners.
Please do not apply to this role if you do not have the required experience and a valid external certification for this role (in-house will not be accepted). The Client will not be training on safe operations – you should have RECENT, well-documented Forklift experience on your resume.
The location is NOT ACCESSIBLE BY BUS, the selected candidate must have their own reliable vehicle.

Shift: Nights – Monday – Thursday, 11pm – 7am for approximately 2 weeks starting Sunday May 11, 2025
Pay Rate: $22/hr + $1.50 Shift premium
Responsibilities:
- Supply production lines with product using Forklift
- Remove empty pallets and bins from production lines
- Perform regular maintenance checks on Forklift
- Complete documentation as required
- Load/Unload trailers
- Safely stack weighted bins up to 9 pallets high
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Counter Balance Forklift license
- Ability to work in narrow aisles and with tight corners
- Ability to safely stack weighted bins up to 9 pallets high
- Ability to work in a cool environment
- Able to adhere to all Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs)
- Fantastic attention to detail and accuracy
- Minimum 2 year experience operating forklifts in a bust warehouse setting
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Strong Work Ethic, positive attitude, Excellent attendance
- Self-Starter, Team player, Quick Learner
- CSA Approved Footwear
- Reliable transportation, as this position is not on a bus route.
