AP/AR Clerk – Full-cycle
Overview
Our client, a manufacturer outside of Waterloo, is looking for an AP/AR Clerk with 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and full-cycle accounting, to join their team in a full-time permanent role!
As the AP/AR Accountant, you will work closely with the Corporate Team and Senior Accountant to manage the accounting processes for Payables and Receivables.
The selected candidate will be the recipient of a salary between $50,000 – 55,000 per year, based on experience and a comprehensive benefits package!
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable, data input and reconciliations.
- AP data entries and process payments; full AP cycle
- Costing – Research and resolving invoice discrepancies and issues
- AR Cash applications, post journal entries
- Conduct Collection calls as needed to maintain cash flow.
- Assist in cash flow on a daily basis; ACH Preparation; Cheques
- Assist and Perform account reconciliations for both AP & AR
- Communicate effectively with Suppliers and customers to resolve discrepancies and address inquiries
- Maintain/track CHEP pallets record and deliver comprehensive cost analyses
- Enter Receiving, matching to invoices
- Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
- Perform journal entries and other accounting activities;
- Recommend and implement improvements to align with best practices.
- Assist in year-end preparations
- Ensure accurate and efficient data input
- Complete other duties and special projects as required.
Required Skills:
- College diploma or Bachelor degree in Accounting or related programs.
- Minimum 2-3 years working experience in full-cycle AP & AR , in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Corporate Accounting is an ASSET
- Experience using SAP, or related manufacturing/ accounting software, or ERP
- Experience with EDI for AR, Excel, MS-365, Teams
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Entrepreneurial approach to business problems and resolutions
- Demonstrates a strong sense of internal and external supplier/customer satisfaction as a top priority
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in diverse environment.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills, with ability to multitask as required by the business.
- Ability to focus and willingness to be cross trained
- Accurate & Organized, reliable
- Team player, able to work successfully with multiple business functions and demonstrate analytical skills.
*Attention: Candidates MUST HAVE a driver’s license and a reliable vehicle, as you will need to travel to Mississauga for 2 weeks for training.
