Accounts Payable Clerk
Overview
Our client in Waterloo is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in a Contract to Permanent position!
The chosen candidate will have experience with full-cycle accounting right to month-end reporting and accruals.
As the chosen candidate you will fulfill a contract period of hours (approx. 3 months)and will be rewarded for great performance with a permanent hire after the contract is completed.
Hourly starting rate will be between $22.00-24.00/hour depending on experience. Benefits upon permanent hire!
Key Responsibilities
- Processing Vendor invoices via matching and verification to Purchase Order
- Processing Non-Purchase order invoices through ensuring proper approval is received and correct general ledger coding is assigned
- Month end reporting and accruals
- Investigating variances with open purchase orders and correcting or closing, as necessary
- Processing Customer deposits
- Daily invoicing of customer shipments
- Preparation of weekly reports including sales backlog & accounts receivable
Education and Experience
- Three+ years of accounts payable experience, is required preferably with full-cycle accounting
- General accounting knowledge, journal entries, trial balance, is beneficial
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Experience with AX, is beneficial
- Experience using multiple software platforms in daily duty functions, is beneficial
