Accounts Payable Clerks – Contracts
Overview
Our client in Waterloo is looking for two (2) Accounts Payable clerks to join their team in a contract position to provide support for employees on leave, with potential for long-term!
This would be a great role for someone with more senior experience in full-cycle payables!
Wages will be based on experience of the candidate! Potential between $24.00-25.00/ hour based on experience!
Job Duties:
- Matching, coding, inputting and filing accounts payable invoices
- Processing cheque runs, generating payments and resolving payables issues with vendors
- Performing a variety of accounting month-end/year-end activities
- Other duties, as assigned
Skill Requirements:
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Related post-secondary diploma in Business/Accounting would be preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years related full-cycle accounts payable experience required.
- Strong written and verbal communications required.
- Ability to interact clearly and confidently with all levels in the organization and with external sales representatives, customers, vendors, and others as required.
- Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Previous experience utilizing JD Edwards software would be a definite asset
- Good working knowledge of a computerized accounting package
- Strong attention to detail
- Fast and accurate data entry skills
- Good understanding of the basic accounting cycle
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills
