On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting experienced (in machining or metal fabrication) Production Operators for full-time opportunities in WATERLOO, ON.

Due to the nature of the business, temporary residents can not be considered.

This is a full-time opportunity with a strong potential for permanent employment. Our client is an established metal fabrication facility looking for dependable, experienced production workers who want to build a long-term future with the company.

We are looking for candidates who already have manufacturing or production experience and are comfortable working around production equipment, inspecting parts, and maintaining a steady pace in a busy manufacturing environment.

Previous manufacturing or production experience is required. Candidates without relevant experience will not be considered.

Pay: $20.00–$21.00/hour + 4% vacation pay added to each weekly cheque

Shifts: Afternoons or Nights
Open availability and willingness to rotate between shifts is strongly preferred.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operate production machinery safely and efficiently
  • Load raw materials and remove completed parts from production equipment
  • Monitor the production process and ensure finished parts meet quality requirements
  • Inspect parts using gauges, fixtures, and measuring tools
  • Deburr and complete light finishing work as required
  • Record production quantities and complete required quality documentation
  • Identify and report equipment, production, or quality issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area
  • Follow established safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards
  • Assist with other production duties as required

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is required
  • Experience operating production machinery or equipment is strongly preferred
  • Metal fabrication or similar manufacturing experience is an asset
  • Good mechanical aptitude and ability to learn production processes
  • Experience with gauges, fixtures, and measuring tools is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive production tasks
  • Ability to read, write, and accurately complete production paperwork
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
  • Able to work independently while being a dependable member of the production team
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive movements
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs. regularly
  • Willing and available to work overtime when required
  • Available to work days, afternoons, and/or nights as required
  • Temporary residents are not eligible for this role.
