Flooring Installer – Waterloo
Overview
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting for a Skilled Labourer to join a growing sports flooring installation team serving the KW region and surrounding areas. This opportunity is ideal for someone with solid construction experience who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality installations, and is looking for steady, long-term employment with plenty of hours.
Shift: Days, must be available for overtime, weekends and travel
This is a FULL-TIME position and is not open to Students. We thank all those that apply, however, only those qualified for the role will be contacted.
Pay Rate: $19-21/hr (dependent on experience) + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly! 40-50 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the installation of sports and industrial vinyl flooring systems
- Preparing work surfaces and spreading adhesives
- Moving materials, tools, and supplies throughout job sites
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Supporting hardwood and sheet vinyl flooring installations
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Following all Health & Safety procedures on-site
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
- Flooring installation experience strongly preferred, especially sheet vinyl or hardwood flooring
- Comfortable working with hand and power tools
- Dependable with strong attendance and work ethic
- Able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Physically capable of bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working on your feet throughout the day
- Willingness to travel occasionally for out-of-town projects
- CSA-approved safety footwear required
