Receiver (temporary) – Ayr, ON
Overview
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Receiver for a manufacturing facility located in Ayr, ON.
This opportunity is best suited for someone with hands-on shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment who is confident operating a forklift, highly organized, and comfortable working with inventory systems and documentation.
Shift: Days: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm Monday – Friday, must be available for Mandatory Saturday overtime
This is a FULL-TIME position and is not open to Students. We thank all those that apply, however, only those qualified for the role will be contacted.
Pay Rate: $25.00/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly! Paid breaks, overtime pay after 40 hours.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to unload incoming deliveries and transport raw materials throughout the facility
- Verify incoming shipments and ensure all required paperwork, packing slips, and certifications are complete and accurate
- Enter receiving details into the ERP system and maintain accurate receiving records
- Organize and store materials while following FIFO procedures and maintaining inventory accuracy
- Perform cycle counts and assist with monthly and year-end inventory counts
- Move materials to designated quarantine areas as required
- Support shipping and material handling departments when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized work area while following 5S standards
- Assist with general warehouse and inventory organization tasks
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of receiving experience within a manufacturing environment
- Previous forklift operating experience required
- Strong computer skills with experience using ERP systems, Outlook, and inventory software
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage priorities effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Knowledge of inventory procedures and material flow processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping abilities
- Reliable transportation required (location is not bus accessible)
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- CSA approved footwear required
- Dependable, motivated, and willing to learn
