Overview

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting experienced and detail-oriented candidates for an open vacancy as a  Quality Control Inspector position in Waterloo.

This is not an entry-level role. Only candidates with proven, hands-on experience using precision measuring tools will be considered.

Pay Rate: $23.11/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly
Shift: Days Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm, Friday: 7:00am – 11:00am

Candidates must have hands-on experience using precision measuring tools, including:

  • Vernier calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Height gauges
  • Angle gauges / protractors

All candidates will be required to complete a measurement test during the interview process. Applicants without this experience will not be considered.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections using precision measuring tools to verify product dimensions and tolerances
  • Read and interpret blueprints and product specifications
  • Complete first article, in-process, and final inspections
  • Identify non-conforming products and generate detailed defect reports
  • Investigate quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure standards are met
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Proficiency with quality inspection measuring tools (gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Assets:

  • Overhead crane experience
  • Forklift license

Requirements:

  • CSA approved safety footwear
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable
