Overview

Our client in Waterloo Region is looking for a Compliance Manager, with labelling regulatory experience in a food production environment, to join their team in a full-time permanent role!

As the Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring total compliance with the regulatory requirements of food labelling.

You will follow labelling development from initial creation of artwork until it’s ready for market and ensure that all requirements for label content, specifications and visual presentation meet legal, technical and customer standards.

Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science, Regulatory Affairs, Food Science, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years in regulatory compliance, artwork/labelling, or specification roles in food/CPG industry.
  • Solid understanding of global food labeling regulations (Canada, US, EU, AUS/NZ) and artwork standards.
  • Familiar with die-line structure, print color standards, BOM systems, and ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle, GS1, Salsify).
  • Strong project management, cross-functional coordination, and documentation skills
  • Experience leading or mentoring small technical teams is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, email communications, and presentations effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
