Quality Control Inspector – Waterloo
Overview
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting experienced candidates with great attitudes for an open vacancy as a Quality Control Inspector in Waterloo

Pay Rate: $23.11/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!
Shift: Days Monday to Thursday: 7am-4:30, Friday: 7am-11am

Job Requirements:
- Proficient in quality measurement skills using height and angle gauges, Vernier caliper, micrometer, protractors and other measuring tools (must pass a test to qualify)
- Problem solve and search for the root cause of a problem to aide in corrective actions
- Generate defect reports for non-conforming product (internal and supplier)
- Examine parts of products for flaws or defects by checking dimensions or other product characteristics against product specifications
- Strong commitment to continual improvement
- Other duties as assigned
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to be a team player and work independently
- Strong attendance record
- Proficient in Microsoft office, word and excel
- Have experience with first article, in-process and final inspections
- Must be able to foster strong and collaborative relationships with management, peers, and production team members.
Requirements:
- Experience with the above noted responsibilities
- Ability to read blueprints
- Proficient with Quality inspection measuring tools (Gauges, Calipers, Micrometers, etc) – will be tested in interview
- Overhead Crane experience
- Forklift license and asset
- Strong attendance record and attention to detail are a must
- CSA Approved Footwear
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Reliable, punctual and dependable
