Project Manager – Thermoforming
Overview
Our client in Kitchener-Waterloo is looking for an experienced Project Manager with Technical Expertise in Thermoforming equipment and processes to join their team in a full-time permanent role!
As the project manager for this company, you would will use your expertise in Thermoform tooling and moulds, to guide and educate your customers in their requests for equipment design and creation.
If you are the candidate chosen for this role, you will be the recipient of a competitive salary between $80-100K depending on your level of expertise! You will also be able to take part in the company extended health plan, dental plan, EAP, RSP plan and safety shoe /safety prescription glass programs!
As the Project Manager, you will manage multiple projects for customers in the thermoformed packaging industry!
You will be face-front with the customer, gathering their project requirements, counselling them on the best design for their project, and troubleshooting any customer concerns or with the equipment throughout the project lifecycle!
You will also initiate project documents, communicate technical requirements to the team, confer on budgets, schedule project milestones, monitor and execute the project to delivery!
Skill Requirements:
- University degree or College Diploma in a related Engineering program such as Mechanical Engineering or other.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar technical Project management role (interacting with external customers)
- Experience and knowledge of thermoforming processes and tooling
- Project coordinator/management experience from a manufacturing industry
- A technical background with the ability to decipher detailed mechanical drawings
- Excellent customer service, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills
- An excellent command of the English language; both verbal and written skills
- Demonstrate excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Project considered an asset)
- Must be willing to learn and proficiently use PLM and ERP software
- Highly motivated self-starter who can work with moderate supervision in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and shift priorities and timeframes
- Able to periodically respond to emergency, customer-impacting situations after hours – live locally or short commute is preferable.
- Able and willing to travel within North America and represent the company in a professional manner
