Or client with a Food Production Facility in Waterloo Region, is looking for a Product Developer to join their team in a full-time permanent role!

Come join this stable long-established business and be the recipient of a salary between 60-80K depending on experience as well as bonus, benefits and vacation time off!

As the ideal candidate, you will have a Food Science Degree and 5-10 years of experience working with food formulations and recipes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and formulate prototypes for new products
  • Update existing formulas
  • Trouble shoot ingredients and formula related production issues
  • Be familiar with suppliers ·and alternates
  • Inspect incoming raw materials
  • Be cross trained quality control function
  • Other duties as required by the Technical manager

Requirements: 

  • Food Science degree.
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience working in product development environment, ideally in bakery or food manufacturing.
  • Experience in a customer-driven environment where sales and research development play critical roles in driving the go-to-market business strategy.
  • Strong plant operations knowledge.
  • Entrepreneurial approach to business problems and resolutions.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with system driven production (Minotaur)
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of internal and external customer satisfaction as a top priority.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
