Contract – Licensed Millwright
Overview
Are you a Licensed Millwright 433A and are you in between jobs? Or maybe you know of other millwrights who are available and looking for work?
Our client in Waterloo is looking for a Licensed Millwright to join them for an indefinite contract position to cover an employee leave. This will be a 6-8 week contract to start but there is also a chance it could go to permanent in the first 3 months!
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will repair and maintain processing and packaging equipment. This will be achieved through daily support of all processes completing Emergency, Corrective, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (PM) tasks.
Working closely with production, you will be identifying and correcting all Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic problems ensuring equipment is functioning properly, operating safely and running efficiently.
As the contract Millwright, you will need to be flexible to work days OR afternoons; 7am to 3pm OR 3pm-11pm, and your hourly rate will be between $34.00-40.00/hour depending on the experience and qualifications you bring to the table!
Required Skills:
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Industrial Mechanic Millwright certification/ license or equivalent preferred
- Certificate of Apprenticeship preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience working as a Maintenance Technician in a food related industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
