Engineering Project Manager
Overview
Our client in Kitchener, is looking for an Engineering Project Manager with a degree in a Technical field and a Project Management certification to join their team in a full-time permanent role!
As the Project Manager you bring strong technical knowledge of automation equipment, experience in a production environment and Project Management training and experience!
As the successful applicant, you will be the recipient of a solid compensation package including salary between 70-90K depending on experience, employer paid benefits package and generous paid time off!
Required Skills:
- Degree required in a technical field such as Mechanical, Process or Industrial Engineering
- Required one (1) or more years of experience in maintenance scheduling / planning OR Five (5) plus years of experience in automation equipment repair or a combo.
- MUST have a PMP certification and some experience managing projects.
- MUST have computer aided design experience (CAD)
- Experience in an industrial environment preferred.
- Electrical/mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), SAP preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties:
- Prepare and validate the scope of work for new projects and initiatives.
- Budget preparation and presentation related to Scope of work initiatives.
- Design, update, and review layouts with computer aided software.
- Research potential solutions and gather information for projects.
- Assign and plan projects and tasks for project coordinator.
- Manage the operational and tactical aspects of large-scale projects, in a fast-paced, dynamic, matrixed environment.
- Develop, monitor, and manage the project lifecycle.
- Maintain communication with senior Engineering management on status of current projects.
- Complete all project-related documentation and deliverables.
- Present scope of work to internal stakeholders for project review and obtain signoffs upon project completion.
- Identify specific safety hazards associated with planned activities.
- Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations and GMP’s, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
