Maintenance Team Leader – Millwright – Afternoons OR Nights
Overview
Our client in Cambridge is looking for an Maintenance Team Lead to join their team in Cambridge on the AFTERNOON or NIGHT shift.
This role requires an experienced Maintenance Team Leader holding a valid Millwright License 433A and with at least two (2) years of experience in a similar supervisory role.
As the Maintenance Team Lead you will be compensated with an hourly rate between $42.00-44.50/ hour depending on experience PLUS a night shift premium of $0.75 per hour!

Qualifications:
- Valid Millwright 433A License is a MUST
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role and supervisory
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Logistics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to action
- Proven ability to work collaboratively, lead and achieve outcomes within deadlines and schedules
- Proficient with ERP and production planning software
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train maintenance technicians according to company training program
- Ensure equipment performance through OEE and efficiency metrics
- Provide daily management and support for operational success
- Oversight of daily maintenance department activities on assigned shifts
- Conduct emergency equipment repairs during production
- Provide leadership and coaching to employees, evaluated based on employee satisfaction
- Implement strategies in-line with company initiatives
- Develop training plans for mechanics
- Promote company’s mission, vision, and training culture
- Review and report training effectiveness through performance analytics
- Manage disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews
- Monitor time and attendance, approve vacation requests
- Conduct incident, accident, and non-conformity investigations
- Issue disciplinary actions when necessary
- Manage waterlogs and other assigned duties
- Adhere to and enforce GMP’s, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines, Company policies, Health & Safety Rules and all Federal, provincial, and local requirements.
