Wood Finishers – Experience required
Overview
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel are seeking candidates with experience in Wood Finishing for an opportunity in KITCHENER.

This is a FULL-TIME ongoing role and is not open to students.
Days: 7:00AM – 3:30PM
Pay Rate: $18.02/hr (or more depending on experience) + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!
The Company offers signing bonuses and pension plans.
Responsibilities:
- Sand surfaces according to procedures with orbital sander or manually
- Visually inspect quality of products for defects
- Maintain finishing equipment (spray-guns)
- Apply wood fillers
- General housekeeping: inspect and clean equipment as needed
- Other duties as assigned by Team leader or Manager
- Safely wear required PPE (Respirator)
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education, or equivalent
- Experience in Wood Finishing/Spray Painting/Chemical Knowledge
- Experience in manufacturing is an asset
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing, lifting, bending, twisting, wearing PPE)
- Good language communication skills in English – written & verbal
- CSA Approved Footwear
- Reliable, punctual and dependable – Attendance is key
- Ability to safely wear required PPE (Respirator – no facial hair permitted)
