Overview

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel are seeking candidates with experience in Wood Finishing  for an opportunity in KITCHENER.

This is a FULL-TIME ongoing role and is not open to students.

Days: 7:00AM – 3:30PM

Pay Rate: $18.02/hr (or more depending on experience) + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!

The Company offers signing bonuses and pension plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Sand surfaces according to procedures with orbital sander or manually
  • Visually inspect quality of products for defects
  • Maintain finishing equipment (spray-guns)
  • Apply wood fillers
  • General housekeeping: inspect and clean equipment as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by Team leader or Manager
  • Safely wear required PPE (Respirator)

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education, or equivalent
  • Experience in Wood Finishing/Spray Painting/Chemical Knowledge
  • Experience in manufacturing is an asset
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing, lifting, bending, twisting, wearing PPE)
  • Good language communication skills in English – written & verbal
  • CSA Approved Footwear
  • Reliable, punctual and dependable – Attendance is key
  • Ability to safely wear required PPE (Respirator – no facial hair permitted)
