Payroll Specialist
Overview
On behalf of our client employer in Kitchener-Waterloo, we are searching for a Payroll Specialist with Five (5) or more years of prior payroll experience to join the HR Team of this organization!
As the Payroll Specialist, you will manage the end-to-end process of company payroll including the administration of the pension and benefits plans.

Required Skills:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting and Payroll
- Five (5) or more years of full-cycle payroll and HR experience
- PCP designation from the National Payroll Institute is Preferred, PLP would be an Asset
- MS Office with advanced Excel skills
- ADP experience is Required; ADP Workforce Now experience is an Asset
- CHRP and/ or Health & Safety designation are an asset
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all data is in place to process ADP payroll for Head Office employees.
- Maintain a high level of service for all employees and their inquiries regarding payroll, pension and benefits.
- Manage all Employee and Sales Rep benefit programs including set-up of new employees, changes, leaves and terminations, bonuses.
- Administer and be the main point of contact for the company pension plan internally and externally.
- Contribute to the overall employee experience by conducting new employee orientations including the completion of required documentation.
- Manage the Joint Health & Safety Committee to ensure a safe environment is maintained
- Manage and update HR policy documents to ensure relevancy of information as needed
- Lead the coordination of payroll projects including budgets, surveys, audits, employment equity reviews, testing and implementation of changes to the ADP payroll system
- Prepare reports to meet business requirements as requested.
