Overview

Our client in Elmira is looking for an experienced payroll clerk to join their Human Resources team on a 2-3 month contract!

Responsibilities:

  • Entry of payroll information to Excel spreadsheet and validation of info  – 70 people hourly and salary
  • Prep and verify payroll info and reimbursements to send to ADP
  • Journal entries as needed
  • Gather information and balance accounts for WSIB, EHT, RRSP and benefits.
  • Fiscal year-end creation of various reports may be also required.
  • Other HR related projects as needed

Required Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of payroll entries with understanding of payroll codes
  • Full-cycle payroll experience an asset with ability to complete journal entries
  • Attention to detail and superior organizational skills
  • Strong ability with Excel, Word, ERP systems
  • Ability to organize information and create reports for management
  • Payroll certification an asset

Hourly rate between: $17.00-21.00/hour
