Overview

Our client is a well-established food processing manufacturer located in Waterloo, ON and they are looking for an experienced INVENTORY & PARTS MANAGER to join their Maintenance Department team on a full-time, permanent basis.

MAIN JOB DUTIES AND TASKS:

Purchasing and Parts Inventory Responsibilities:

  • Review pricing on all purchases against purchase history to ensure best cost
  • Recommend purchase of parts, equipment, tools and purchases within 2 days of request approval
  • Fill out manual Purchase Orders for each purchase, attaching packing slips and invoices to PO
  • Submit documentation to Manager for approval
  • Resolve invoicing issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate Purchase Order, Invoicing and Computerized Records
  • Create and maintain accurate spare parts database using equipment manuals, staff knowledge and equipment inspection
  • Establish appropriate inventory levels of spare parts and implement control procedures to ensure accuracy maintained
  • Ensure maintenance parts storage is kept neat and organized

Maintenance Parts:

  • Create and maintain an accurate spare parts database using equipment manuals, staff knowledge and equipment inspection
  • Establish appropriate inventory levels of spare parts
  • Implement control procedures to ensure accurate inventory of spare parts is maintained
  • Ensure maintenance parts storage is kept neat and organized
  • Maintain accurate equipment documentation

HACCP:

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of HACCP paperwork
  • Ensure maintenance compliance to HACCP Audits

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to climb ladders and handle parts weighing up to 90 pounds
