Our client, an engineering leader located in Waterloo, is looking for an INVENTORY CONTROL CLERK to join their team!

As the Inventory Control Clerk, you will do the following:

  • Your day will be spent in the warehouse and on the production floor where you will get a great understanding of the flow of work and materials
  • Responsible for the Kanban cards and the “Supermarket Process” in designated areas
  • Keep all materials organized, compliantly labeled for easy presentation to the production line at all times and following the 5S principles
  • Communicate with planners/production associates to maintain and replenish inventory levels
  • Perform all functions relating to keeping materials supplied, delivered and presented to associates on production line on time
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Be the contact person for shop personnel regarding inventory availability and storage
  • Pre-picking machine projects and creation of shortage reports
  • Receive and reconcile completed work orders
  • Assist with stocking inventory
  • Picking and packing inventory
  • Future cycle counting requirements
  • Other duties, as assigned

You have the following Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Related post-secondary education in Supply Chain/Inventory Control
  • Minimum 2 years of related warehouse experience handling and controlling inventory
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Visual Manufacturing software an asset

 Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects occasionally
  • Must be able to perform frequent bending and lifting
