Our client, an established manufacturer in Stratford, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join their team in a full-time role!

The HR Generalist will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Human Resources Team in Stratford with particular focus on full-cycle recruitment and WSIB claims.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full cycle recruitment for various positions in the Stratford facility including the internal job posting system.
  • Liaising with Plant Manager, Supervisors and Temporary Agencies to identify needs of a temporary work force and resolving issues that may arise.
  • Effectively engage employees and communicate with all levels of the organization providing advice, assistance and follow up on policies and procedures.
  • Support, coach and counsel front line supervision in employee relation and legislative matters.
  • Provide new hire orientation training and ensure new hires are recorded in payroll system and enrolled in group benefits
  • Conduct investigations when needed.
  • Responsible for coordinating the Concerns Resolution Process and record keeping.
  • Manage employee discipline in consultation with Assistant General Manager Corporate Administration.
  • Effectively resolve employee issues and concerns for support teams.
  • Explain benefits program to employees and serve as a liaison between employees and Benefits provider
  • Conduct and collect benchmarking data.
  • Work with the EHS team to assist the team with immediate issues that arise
  • Oversee WSIB, STD and LTD claims submissions and return to work program
  • Assist the Assistant General Manager, Corporate Administration with projects, policy development and implementation of HR initiatives.
  • Assist and coordinate when necessary general administration functions that include Social Committee, fleet administration and facility maintenance.
  • Participate in networking and community events as needed.
  • Effectively engage employees and communicate with all levels of the organization providing advice, assistance and follow up on policies and procedures.

Required Skills:

  • Post-Secondary education in Human Resources Management with CHRP or designation in progress with a minimum of 5 years’ direct experience in a Generalist capacity
  • Previous experience with full-cycle recruitment and WSIB Claims management is preferred.
  • Has a strong working knowledge of applicable legislation.
  • Based from the day shift schedule, must be flexible to support a 3 shift operation when required and multiple facilities.
  • Must have a strong customer focus along with solid interpersonal, and communication skills as will be interacting with people in all levels of the organization.

Excellent compensation package including salary between 55-65K and group benefits!
