Overview

Our client in the Cambridge area is looking for an Human Resources Recruiter to join their team in a permanent role! The main focus of this role will be in employee recruitment with the addition of other HR duties as needed.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Work with the hiring leaders to deliver effective and innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent
  • Sourcing and selection of team members at all levels throughout the organization
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations; evaluate effectiveness
  • Participate in the evaluation of and continual improvement to the onboarding process
  • Manage Licensed Trade Apprenticeship program; enrol new members, monitor and administer course reimbursement program
  • Coordinates the corporate co-op program from job analysis to exit interviews
  • Maintain effective relationships with industry associations, universities, colleges as well as external recruiting agencies
  • Coordinate and facilitate legislated training sessions; assess effectiveness and enhance as necessary
  • Participate in coordination and execution of Company events
  • Completes other HR related tasks as assigned to support HR function

Qualifications (education & skills required):

  • University Degree with a Diploma in Human Resources Management
  • Minimum of 3 years of recruitment experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • CHRP designation or working towards CHRP
  • Ability to establish trust and act as an advisor to hiring leaders
  • Demonstrated experience using social media (LinkedIn, Twitter) to attract talent
  • Strong relationship building skills to create a positive candidate experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills demonstrated by the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Advanced MS Office skillset as well as Outlook proficiency
  • Special attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours periodically
  • High-energy, self-motivated and has a flexible and creative approach to working in a results-oriented environment
  • Diplomacy, tact, and professionalism when interacting with all team members
  • Respect for corporate management system and practices
  • Proficient with the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health & Safety Act and other related legislation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced environment managing multiple tasks and effectively handle competing priorities

Excellent compensation package with salary between 40-50K.
