Full-cycle Bookkeeper
Overview
Our client in Waterloo Region, is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping, for a full-time permanent role!
Are you a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper who can manage all the day-to-day financial transactions of a small business and complete monthly reconciliations and reports?
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and experienced in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations and reporting. Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications
- Community College diploma in accounting, bookkeeping, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or account administration
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 50, Dayforce, or similar systems)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and update the general ledger
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings
- Support balance sheet reconciliations and expense tracking
- Generate bookkeeping and financial reports as required
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- Coordinate with external accountants for audits, tax filings, and financial reviews
- Maintain organized financial documentation and records
- Provide administrative support related to bookkeeping and financial operations
